FIRE AND FIRST RESPONDERS DEPARTMENT

The mandate of the Fire and First Responders Department is to save lives and property through preventive actions and emergency interventions, all within a framework concerned with the protection of the environment.

The First Responders Department is also a municipal department that is part of the chain of pre-hospital emergency services. The role of the first responders is to assess and stabilize the condition of the victim while waiting for the paramedics to arrive.

Cantley’s Fire and First Responders Department has been able to deploy and maintain qualified, state-of-the-art emergency service that is attentive to its citizens, and it has been able to adjust to Cantley’s unparalleled municipal growth.

A DEPARTMENT COMMITTED TO THE PEOPLE!

  • Open house day at the fire hall where citizens can participate in workshops related to prevention.
  • Open house day where the children from the day camp are invited to participate in various games.
  • Presence of the firefighters at various community events.

PREVENTION VISITS

Every year, firefighters make prevention visits within the Municipality of Cantley.

During these courtesy visits, they conduct residential inspections and present documentation.

The Public Safety Department of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais has been responsible for law enforcement and keeping the peace and order in Cantley since 1996.
